WA activates virtual power plant amid ‘low power’ reserves

Western Australia’s virtual power plant has been activated for the second time ever today due to low power reserves.

The virtual power plant is a shared resource of power which comes from a pool of energy from buildings with solar panels.

Plico Energy head of marketing Zina Reeves told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live the virtual power plant aims to reduce power outages.
