Current customer service experiences in Australian airports and in the travel sector are not the ‘new normal’. Covid has dramatically impacted the global aviation sector and its recovery is taking longer than any other industry.
One of the great things about Australia is that we’re big and there is much to explore. Travel is part of our DNA and we’re all keen to get moving again. Yes, service levels are not where they used to be.
I’ve flown 10 times over the past fortnight and it’s definitely a different experience, but there are some airlines and travel companies that are working hard behind the scenes to create positive customer experiences.
Come on Australia – let’s get behind our great travel sector. Be patient, be kind, and believe that the great businesses out there are busy re-engaging their teams, upskilling, and reinventing themselves to give us the service levels we know and expect.
