…Research which helped launched the ‘Housing Families’ program now allows property managers like SOCO Realty director Ashleigh Goodchild to dispel misconceptions which had been holding landlords back.
“It showed that 88 per cent of [real estate agents] were worried that the perpetrator was going to return to the home … however, it was a very small percentage of 11 per cent that [had] actually had a negative experience from these families,” she said.
By talking through those statistics with real estate agents and landlords, Ms Goodchild said people quickly realised the impact they could be having.
