Newly renovated industrial-style terrace in Perth ‘like nothing else’ on the market

An industrial-style terrace townhouse that’s been freshly transformed following a two-year renovation project, nestled in a highly sought-after pocket of Perth, is ready for new owners.

With a contemporary mix of Mediterranean meets industrial, 229B Brisbane Street was painstakingly refurbished by its seasoned property renovator owners, who are selling in order to move onto their next venture.

“The interior design is truly a one-off,” selling agent Danielle Geagea of Zsa Zsa Property said. “There is nothing like it that I have seen.”

The two-bedroom, one bathroom property features BHP steel beams, glass bricks, Smeg kitchen appliances, engineered oak floorboards, a Vintec wine cellar, a gas-free fireplace, and an outdoor bath.

“Their choices are very unique and also incredibly palatable and sophisticated,” Ms Geagea said.

“I think they have definitely delivered a tasteful design that also actually speaks to the demographic that would be considering purchasing in that location.”

She described the property as a “hidden gem” that blends into its surrounds, meaning those walking past its industrial façade might not realise what’s inside.

“The property was renovated for the owners as their home. So, in terms of attention to detail and quality of fixtures and fittings, and consideration to the design, it was certainly done to a really high standard,” she said.

“For example, including terracotta tiles, terrazzo tiles, the colour scheme the owners have gone with is really sophisticated as well, and overall, the house honestly just pops the moment you walk in, it’s like ‘wow.’”

The home’s bathroom was completed a matter of weeks ago, representing the final component of the townhouse’s two-year renovation.

Ms Geagea said a drawcard in the current market in Perth was the fact all the hard work on this home was already complete.

“We have a significant trade shortage, we have escalated building costs and I guess an unknown quantity at the moment as to if builders can deliver on renovations and this is already done,” she said.

“Fortunately, the current owners have undertaken that commitment and have now of course delivered a wonderful product at a time when people are wanting a finished, renovated home.”
